【动物检疫所的重要通知】 致携带来自海外的肉/肉食品的人【IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT From ANIMAL QUARANTINE SERVICE】 To travelers who possess meat/food involving meat.
农林水产省动物检疫所为了防止家畜的传染性疾病在水边进入日本，
以肉制品(含有肉、香肠、火腿等的食品)等为对象进行检疫。
如果您从国外带来肉类或含有肉类的食品，
请务必在海关检查前向“动物检疫柜台”申报后，接受动物检疫的检查。
现在很多国家都发生了口蹄疫和非洲猪热等家畜恶性传染病。
另外，由于礼品和个人消费的肉制品等很难取得检验证书，
肉制品和动物制品几乎都不能带入日本。
有时会因非法带入肉或含肉食品等而被逮捕。违反者将被处以罚款或徒刑。

Animal Quarantine Service inspects meat products/food involving meat (sausage, ham etc.) to prevent the spread of animal infectious diseases from imported meat, and keep our domestic animals healthy.
Travelers possessing meat products/food involving meat (sausage, ham etc.)，must declare to “ANIMAL QUARANTINE COUNTER” and have them examined before customs examination.
Japanese law prohibits to bring in meat products/food involving meat (sausage, ham etc.) into Japan without permission from Animal Quarantine Service. Those who bring these products into Japan without permission, can be arrested.
