[We received a donation of willow trees for the Tanabata event! (From President Nagata of Kondo Forestry Co., Ltd.)]
Good morning everyone 🌞
This year, President Nagata of Kondo Forestry Co., Ltd. donated willow trees for our Tanabata event!
Under the direction of President Nagata, a 5m tall willow tree was installed in the departure lobby on the second floor.
Because it is made from raw wood, it has a soothing willow scent.
So, why willow trees for Tanabata? 🤔 Some of you may be wondering, but since there are no bamboo forests in Hokkaido, we hang paper strips on willow trees for Tanabata.
The willow trees will be decorated and paper strips prepared by the airline, the Japan Coast Guard, the HAC Friendship Association, and HAP will be placed near the trees.
With the cooperation of airlines, the decorated strips of paper will be donated to shrines across the country.
When you use the airport, please write your wishes on a strip of paper and hang it up.
*The willow tree will be up until Monday, July 7th.
