["Lake Akan Photo Contest 2024 Photo Exhibition" and "Nostalgic Scenic Panel Exhibition" are currently on display!]

The "Lake Akan Photo Contest 2024 Photo Exhibition" is currently on display in the Corridor Gallery on the 3rd floor.
The location of the photo shoot was "Lake Akan and the surrounding Akan Onsen town" and the theme was "Landscape Photography." There were nearly 100 submissions to the contest!
You can enjoy the works that were selected as the "Grand Prize," "Excellent Prize," and "Scenic Prize" along with comments from the photographers.
All of the works are wonderful, so this photo exhibition will allow you to rediscover the charms of Lake Akan and Lake Akan Onsen.
Also, the "Nostalgic Scenic Panel Exhibition" is currently being held on the opposite side of the Corridor Gallery on the 3rd floor.
The exhibition features works by the late amateur photographer Sueyoshi Matsuba, who left behind many wonderful photographs while working as a bus driver in Kawayu, Teshikaga Town.
You can look back on the nostalgic scenery and life of people in the early Showa period, while also learning about the late Nagayama Zaikane, who played an active role in road construction in Kushiro and Nemuro areas.
This is a panel exhibition that has been held continuously since 2006, with the hopes that "more people will come and see it" and "we hope to gain some hints for thinking about the future of the region."
