"Wakkanai Airport Aviation Day Festival 2026" is officially happening!!

1. Date, time, and location of "Wakkanai Airport Aviation Day Festival 2026"

Date and time: July 26, 2026 (Sunday) 10:00-15:00

Location: Inside Wakkanai Airport Terminal Building and the road in front of it

2. Introduction to some of the events that will be held

 ・ANA Kids Marshaller Experience (First 20 applicants on the day *For elementary school students and younger)

You will experience marshalling firsthand while watching an actual airplane landing at Wakkanai Airport.

*A marshaller is a ground worker who safely and accurately guides an aircraft to its parking position.

 - Control tower tour (first 100 people on the day)

You will be allowed to enter the control tower, which is the place where instructions and information are provided to ensure the safe operation of aircraft.

You will enjoy learning about the control tower and watching aircraft take off and land.

 - Tour of the aircraft landing bus within the restricted area (first 40 people on the day)

You will travel by bus to the vicinity of the runway, where you can enjoy watching planes landing up close from inside the bus.

3. Precautions

Events and Venues

  • The event content may be changed or canceled due to weather conditions, etc.
  • Please eat and drink in the eating and drinking area at the venue.
  • Please help us by separating your garbage.

Parking lot related

  • Regular parking lots are for airplane passengers only. Visitors to the Sky Day Festival are asked to follow the instructions of the staff and park in the "visitor parking lots."
  • We are not responsible for any accidents that occur in the parking lot.
  • Admission may be restricted during peak hours. Please come in groups of multiple people.
