Airport congestion during the summer

Thank you for visiting Hakodate Airport. 

During the summer vacation and Obon season, congestion is expected both inside and outside the airport as described below. 

If you are flying, please arrive at the airport well in advance. 

We ask that you please complete the necessary procedures and security inspection as soon as possible. 

1. Increased travel time due to crowded check-in counters 

2. Increased time required due to congestion at security inspection 

3. Traffic jams on the access roads to the airport 

4. Airport parking lots are full 

In addition, to shorten the time it takes to go security inspection, please read the following information about the rules and precautions for carry-on and checked baggage and make the necessary preparations.
