Revision and introduction of Passenger Service Facilities Charge etc.

Hokkaido Airport Co., Ltd. which operates 7 airports in Hokkaido, has applied to the airport administrator (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism / Asahikawa city) for revision/setting of Passenger Service Facilities Charge (PSFC) at Domestic Passenger Terminal Building (New Chitose Airport International Terminal Building, Hakodate Airport domestic flights ・ international flights Domestic Passenger Terminal Building, Asahikawa Airport domestic flights ・ international flights Domestic Passenger Terminal Building) at some airports it operates, and the following fees will be set from June 1 (Monday), 2026.
In addition, a new Passenger Security Service Charge (PSSC) will be introduced at New Chitose Airport International Terminal Building from the same date.


Passenger Service Facilities Charge The funds will be used for the maintenance, management, and renovation of facilities and equipment to ensure the safe and comfortable use of Domestic Passenger Terminal Building. We have been making efforts to improve customer convenience and safety at New Chitose Airport International Terminal Building by introducing and improving the operation of automatic check-in machines and improving the restroom environment, at Hakodate Airport by updating the passenger boarding bridge and renovating the interior to optimize the flow line, and at Asahikawa Airport by expanding the boarding waiting area and implementing barrier-free measures.
In addition, passenger security service fees are used to provide and improve the quality of security services, and to improve, maintain, and upgrade security facilities and equipment.
