Tokachi Obihiro Airport Information Center Improves Services: AI-powered guidance service and dedicated staff introduced to enhance convenience.

Tokachi Obihiro Airport will be revamping its 1st-Information Center operations and improving services starting Wednesday, April​ ​8, 2026.

We have introduced AI guidance to enable multilingual support, and we have also assigned our own dedicated staff to the counters.

By combining AI and human operators, we will establish a system that can carefully respond to diverse needs such as tourist information.

○Service provided by: Pictoria Co., Ltd.

○ Installation period: From April​ ​8, 2026

○Operating hours: During Terminal Building opening hours

○Services offered: Floor guide, information on secondary transportation, tourist information, etc.

○Supported languages: 5 languages (Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean)

 

The avatars displayed on Information Center staff and guide customers.

Customers can operate the screen and get answers from a pre-set list of frequently asked questions.

By directly speaking to the avatar, the generated AI can use the basic information it has learned to interact with customers and provide tourist information and other services.
