After following a pathway reminiscent of those that run along traditional Kyoto-style “machiya” townhouses, you will be greeted by a Japanese-style space that carries the same ambiance as Shimogamo Shrine. Enjoy experiencing this high-end space with warm, welcoming hospitality. The head chef carefully handpicks fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables with a focus on Hokkaido, tying these ingredients together with thoughtful consideration to early season, peak season, and late season offerings, thus representing Kyoto-style cuisine with an emphasis on simplicity and a spotlight on foods that carry a sense of seasonality.

Temari gozen (lunch)
The two-tiered temari box contains seasonal hassun and yakimono. This is a lunch-only set menu that includes sashimi, a small dish, and a meal. It takes some time to prepare, so we recommend making a reservation!
Shokado bento (lunch)
Grilled dishes, hassun (appetizers), lidded dishes, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), main course dishes, and desserts. Our carefully prepared Saikyo-yaki grilled dishes are fragrant on the outside and fluffy inside. Enjoy the seasonal flavors of our takiawase (mixed stew) dishes, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and our rich, full-bodied red miso soup, which is infused with the flavor of the fish.

A sake sommelier will suggest the perfect sake to go with your meal. Selecting the right sake cup will change the flavor of your meal depending on the material and shape of the cup.
