Web Accessibility Policy

New Chitose Airport website aims to comply with "JIS X 8341-3:2016 Guidelines for design considerate of elderly people and persons with disabilities - Information and communications equipment, software and services - Part 3: Web content" and is working to ensure and improve accessibility.

What is Web Accessibility?

The term "accessibility" is generally used to mean "ability to be used without problems by people with limited physical and mental functions, such as the elderly and people with disabilities." It applies to a wide range of devices, such as computers and telephones, and the content (information content) used with them. In particular, the accessibility of web content used via the Internet is called "web accessibility."

Compliant with "JIS X 8341-3:2016" conformance level "AA"

(Note) The term "Compliant" in New Chitose Airport 's web accessibility policy is based on the terminology defined in the "JIS X 8341-3:2016 Compliance Degree Description Guidelines for Web Content, April 2021 Edition (Published April 13, 2021)" by the Information and Communications Access Council's Web Accessibility Infrastructure Committee.

Current issues identified and our approach to dealing with them

PDF files provided on some pages will be excluded from the target because they do not meet the success criterion "Non-text content (Success Criterion 1.1.1)". For future creations, we will strive to provide HTML pages as well as PDF files.
Some of the image files included on the pages have been created from existing materials or external specified data, and have insufficient text contrast ratios that are difficult to modify. As a result, they do not meet the Success Criterion 1.4.3 "Contrast (minimum)." Therefore, they are excluded from the target.

We will continue to conduct regular inspections, provide training, and take other steps to maintain and improve the web accessibility of the New Chitose Airport website.
