Currently, livestock diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease, avian influenza, and African swine fever are occurring in many countries and regions, so most meat products and animal-derived products cannot be brought into Japan.
Items that are vacuum packed, heated, purchased at duty-free shops, items whose import is prohibited or suspended, or items that do not have an inspection certificate cannot be brought into the country, even if they are in small quantities.
Please note that unauthorized importation will be subject to penalties.
