New Chitose Airport has been awarded first place in the "World's Cleanest Airport (up to 30 million passengers)" category of SKYTRAX's 2026 International Airport Evaluation!
Hokkaido Airports Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chitose City, Hokkaido) is pleased to announce that New Chitose Airport (*1) of the United Kingdom.

The "World's Cleanest Airport (up to 30 million passengers)" award is given to the cleanest airport in the world with fewer than 30 million passengers, recognizing the cleanliness and comfortable environment of the entire Terminal Building.

New Chitose Airport has now received its second award in this evaluation conducted by SKYTRAX, following its "World Most Improved Airport" award in 2024 (*3).
We will not rest on our laurels with this award, but will continue to improve and develop, providing services that meet the needs of our customers and working to create an airport that our customers will enjoy.

(*1) A UK-based aviation services research company founded in 1989. It evaluates airports and airlines worldwide across various categories, including airport facilities, signage, cleanliness, hotels, and more.
(*2) This is the most prestigious award in the airport industry, selected by customer votes from over 565 airports worldwide. The results of this award will be valid from August 2025 to 2026.
This is based on a survey of airport users from over 100 countries and regions, conducted over two months.
